The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
The AICPA is the national professional organization representing the accounting profession in public practice, business and industry, government and education. Committed to member service and the public interest, the AICPA and its predecessors have been serving the accounting profession since 1887.
The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA)
The state's premier professional organization of certified public accountants and accounting professionals, representing 9,000 members in public practice, industry, government, and education. The Society works to develop and maintain high professional standards and offers legislative, technical support, and referral services to its members.
The AICPA's Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS)
PCPS provides valuable information and resources for firms of all sizes in the area of practice management. PCPS reaches out to ensure that its members' interests are taken into account by the profession, its regulators, and standards setters, and in turn, provides its members with practical guidance and quick access to critical information on issues that affect their firms' quality, professionalism, and profitability.
Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC)
The AICPA's EBPAQC is a firm-based voluntary membership center for firms that audit employee benefit plans. The Center serves as a comprehensive resource provider for member firms to support each other in the performance of Employee Benefit Plan Audit practice. In addition, the Center provides members with an opportunity to network and exchange information with others within the community of member firms.
